House rewiring in Hereford
A full house rewire starts at £4,500, with the final figure fixed in writing after a free survey. It is the biggest electrical job a house can have, so we plan it room by room with you: where every socket, switch and light actually goes, not where the 1970s put them.

The end of a full rewire
This board went in at the end of a full property rewire, one of ours. A rewire is the one chance to get everything where you want it: sockets where the furniture really goes, lighting circuits that match how you use the rooms, and an installation that meets current regulations with certification to prove it.
Questions we get asked
How do I know if my house needs rewiring?
Rubber or fabric-covered cables, round-pin sockets, no earth at the lights, or an EICR that came back unsatisfactory across multiple circuits. If you are unsure, an EICR from £200 is the honest way to find out before committing to anything.
Can we live in the house during a rewire?
Usually yes, room by room, though it is dusty and disruptive for a week or two and empty houses go faster. We agree the order of rooms with you up front so bedrooms and the kitchen are out of action for as short a time as possible.
Why is the range on price so wide?
Because houses are. A three-bed with easy access is a different job to a stone farmhouse with solid floors. That is why the survey is free and the quote is fixed and written: the number you agree is the number you pay.
