Battery doorbell or hardwired?
Battery is fine until the week it is not. Hardwired costs a little more to install and then never needs thinking about, which for a security device is the point.
Do you set up the app and recording too?
Yes. The job is done when it is working on your phone, not when the screws are in the wall.
