Who it suits
- A charger on the front of the house, where looks matter.
- Anyone who does not want a cable coiled on the wall between charges (A2 and A3).
- Solar owners who want to charge from what the roof makes.
- Three-phase supplies: the A2 or a Quartz, not the A3.
Worth knowing
- The warranty has to be activated within 7 days of installation, or 30 days of purchase.
- The A3 is single phase only.
- Advanced Solar needs the second clamp fitted on the solar feed, so tell us at the start if you want it.

Questions we get asked
Which Andersen should I get?
The A3 if you want the hidden cable, the wood finishes and the lighting as you walk up to it. The Quartz range if you want an Andersen for less. The A2 if you have a three-phase supply and still want the cable hidden.
Does an Andersen need an earth rod?
Every current Andersen has PEN fault detection built in, which is what normally removes the need for one. We confirm it for your supply when we look at the job.
Does it work with Octopus?
Andersen says every A3 is integrated with Intelligent Octopus Go, and it lists OVO Charge Anytime and EDF GoElectric too.
Can it charge from my solar panels?
Yes. Basic solar charging runs from the clamp in the box. For the fuller "Advanced Solar" mode we fit a second clamp on the solar feed.
