Fitted to the house, not fought onto it
This charge point went onto a stone wall at a period Herefordshire property. Stone, timber frame and rendered walls all take different fixings and cable routes, and we plan that on the survey rather than improvising on the day.
What the £900 includes
- The charger itself, if you buy it through us.
- A dedicated circuit from your fuseboard, with its own protection.
- An OZEV-compliant installation that meets the smart charging regulations.
- Notification to your electricity network operator, done by us.
- Testing and certification at the end, emailed to you.
What moves the price
Where the car parks. A charger on the wall beside the meter is the easy case. A detached garage or the far end of a drive needs an armoured cable run, and that is priced by the metre and the digging.
Your fuseboard. A 7kW charger is one of the biggest loads in a house, and an older board sometimes needs work before it can take one safely. If yours does, we quote the fuseboard upgrade honestly before you have spent anything on a charger.
Who buys the charger. Already got one? We will fit it, priced from a photo of the charger and your fuseboard.

We are an approved Andersen installer. All five can charge from solar panels with a clamp fitted, and all five have PEN fault protection built in. The Hypervolt warranty extends to 5 years for £100 bought within 30 days. Warranties are the makers' own, checked October 2026.

Why do you keep asking about my fuseboard?
A 7kW charger is one of the biggest loads in your house. Your board needs the capacity and the right protection for it, and if it does not, we quote the board work honestly before you have spent anything on a charger.
Which charger should I buy?
We are approved Andersen installers, and Andersen is the one to look at if you care how it looks on your house. But we fit other leading brands too, and we'll tell you straight which suits your car, your supply and your budget.
Do I need permission from anyone?
Chargers must be registered with your electricity network operator, and installations must meet the smart charging regulations. We handle the notification and the paperwork as part of the job.
Do you fit chargers outside Hereford?
